Buckshaw is an award winning purpose built Retirement Village designed to meet the housing & support requirements for 'Senior Living', with a 'menu' of care available to respond to residents changing needs. DLA Interiors were commissioned to design the various interior spaces as part of the design team, including project architects, DLA FreemanWhite Architecture. The interior concepts took into account the various needs of the residents from able bodied, to those with failing health or with varying levels of disability, this also included a specialist 'Dementia Facility', which in 2008 won a Gold Accreditation for design for Dementia by Stirling University. The brief required spaces to have a timeless and familiar feel, inviting & comfortable for residents & their guests.
